What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy is the tailored application of the tools and perspectives from Yoga, to a person’s specific needs. Yoga therapy is holistic in that it treats the whole person - physically, emotionally, mentally & spiritually.

What is mentoring?

Mentoring is the sharing of knowledge, skills and/or experience to help another person grow and develop in a certain area of life.

My area of skill and expertise is in working with those experiencing Chronic Stress, Overwhelm, Anxiety, Depression & Burn Out. I particularly specialise in working with those who:

  • A tailored audio/video recording to support you at home.

  • On demand guidance & support through Voxer, Monday to Thursday during working hours.

  • End of package summary & plans for you moving forward

The Logistics

The Support Package is designed to give you a boost for your self-care practices and help you find the relief from Overwhelm, Anxiety & Stress that you have been looking for.

The Transform Package is for those of you looking to work more deeply and to help facilitate you in creating more extensive change in your life, well-being & self-care.

​

Where?

All sessions take place online, through zoom.

When?

Each session is suggested to take place once every fortnight to allow for integration time, but to keep momentum. This can be adapted to accommodate your timings as much as is possible and within a 3 month (Support Package) or 5 month (Transform Package) timescale.

​

Guidance and any at home plans/practices will be talked through with you at the end of session and a copy emailed to you the same day. Any tailored video/audio recordings will also be sent to you as soon as they are ready.

From the very first session, I will focus on getting to know you.

At the beginning of our time together, I will spend time asking all questions about you, as well as exploring your posture, movement, breath, biggest worries, hopes, etc. My aim is always to understand you holistically, so that we can mould each session and your at home plans, aims & practices around exactly what you need.


I will always keep your main aims in mind, but will also respond and adapt to your needs as they present at each session.

As someone who has years of personal and professional experience of working with highly sensitive, empathic & neurodivergent people, I have a huge amount of expertise and skill that I will bring to each session.

What Can I Expect?

The way we shape our time working together will be as unique as you are! It will also depend on whether you are in greater need of Yoga Therapy, Mentoring. or a bit of both. In our initial consultation, we will map out a loose plan, which can be adapted at any time if the need arises. However, sessions will likely include some, or all of the following:

 

  • Movements and Yoga Postures 

  •  Meditation & Relaxation

  • Breathing Techniques

  • Awareness Practices

  • Discussion & Reflection

  • Specific Teaching & Advice Sharing
  • Checking in, Celebrating & Reviewing
