Service Description
Monday Meditation | 7:30 – 8:30pm | Claybrooke Village Hall Start your week with calm, clarity, and connection in our Monday Meditation group. These sessions are rooted in the practice of mindfulness, supporting you to befriend the mind, body and your emotions through kindly awareness. These classes are perfect for anyone with a busy mind, navigating stress, anxiety, or generally feeling a little lost or disconnected from life. Our group is a welcoming and friendly environment, where you can learn and practice at your own pace. WHAT TO EXPECT: Classes follow the rhythm of nature, and so each session will pick up on relevant seasonal themes, including key mindfulness teachings and other relevant topics from Eastern philosophy and earth-based spirituality. The theme for the week will guide the two meditation practices of each class. Each practice will be around 10 – 15 minutes and you are encouraged to find a comfortable position where you can remain alert. This may be sat on the floor, on a chair, or even laying down. You will be supported by the teacher to find the best position for you. After each practice, there will be space for reflection and discussion to help you to deepen your practice and connect with others through shared experience. There is no pressure to contribute to discussion, you may prefer to simply listen. Whether you’re new to meditation or have a well-established practice, this block of classes provides a safe and supportive environment to return to yourself. BENEFITS INCLUDE: • Reduced stress and anxiety • Improved emotional regulation • Greater mental clarity and focus • Enhanced self-awareness and resilience • A deeper sense of calm and relaxation • Increased compassion & kindness towards self and others • A greater connection to yourself No experience is necessary—just bring whatever you need to be comfortable, an open mind, and a willingness to explore. Join us each Monday to centre yourself and begin the week from a calm, clear and connected place! WHAT WILL I NEED? For this class chairs will be available. However, you are also welcome to bring a yoga mat, blocks and a bolster if you wish to sit/lie on the floor. You may also want to bring some water/hot drink in a flask and a blanket to keep you warm.
